Corporate Personal Secretary
I provide PA/Administration support to the Associate Director of Research & Improvement, ensuring they are fully briefed and prepared for all activities. I am also responsible for the smooth and effective running of the administration function.
- To produce agendas and to minute and process actions from meetings
- To resolve queries
- To manage the outlook calendar for the Associate Director of Research & Improvement
- Projects as and when required.
After attending Southern Grammar School and taking my A levels, I chose to follow an administrative career. In 1980-81 I trained as a secretary and completed a one year Private Secretary’s Certificate. I then worked as secretary to a bank manager and then as a Post Office counter clerk. Following the birth of my first child in 1988 I needed a part-time job and joined the NHS as a secretary. Since then I have carried out various roles including Medical Secretary, Admin Supervisor and PA to acting CEO.
I am motivated by a supportive and enabling role and am passionate about the lessons learnt from the past and how they can inform the future. Although I am not health care professional or an academic, I believe I can make a difference by supporting and enabling the other members of the team .

I am proud to have worked for the NHS for 30 years. I believe that it is precious resource that needs to be protected. I am an optimistic, dedicated, team worker who seeks solutions rather than problems. Outside work I really enjoy genealogy research, charity shops and walking. I also volunteer regularly at Park Run.
