Workshop: Introduction to Good Clinical Practice for Research
Who should attend this workshop?
This workshop is for people who are new to research or who need a ‘back-to-basics’ session on the regulatory and statutory standards for research. The training is mandatory for staff who are involved in consenting patients into research studies or who are delivering an intervention as part of a research study. This session will provide you with an NIHR GCP Certificate which is transferable across organisations.
By the end of the day delegates will:
- Appreciate the importance of clinical research to patients, health professionals, the NHS and wider society
- Recognise that research delivery follows a defined pathway and that GCP principles apply at each stage to protect patients and ensure high quality data
- Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of GCP principles and their application to practice
No preparation is required prior to this workshop
This session is facilitated through the NIHR. To book a place, please email email@example.com to receive a guide to setting up your NIHR Learn account
