Cognition and Psychological Flexibility in Multiple Sclerosis
This study aims to help us better understand how the memory and thinking problems experienced by people with multiple sclerosis (MS) have an impact on how they cope with the emotional effects of living with a long-term condition.
This study has now closed to recruitment.
Findings so far:
Several psychosocial factors have been identified in association with cognition in people with MS. These included disease duration, family history and education level. Additionally, this study highlighted the need to monitor cognitive symptoms in patients where certain psychosocial factors are present.
